Fall Farmers Market

Supporting our local community

Several Global Studies students, including Mia Lynne Park and Claire Gracia, are members of the newly founded club Sustain Us. This organization aims to educate the student body on environmental and sustainability issues on campus through events, movie series and recycling campaigns.

On October 17th, Sustain Us worked in coalition with the Sustainability Committee to coordinate the Fall Farmers Market, which brought 10 local vendors. The goal of this event was to make the Bryant community aware of local businesses, understand the importance of eating local and supporting your local economy. These vendors spanned from jams to honey to soaps. Vendors, students and faculty all left happy with their locally grown and produced products. Watch out for the Spring Farmers Market next semester!

If you are interested in joining Sustain Us, check out their Facebook or email them at sustainus@bryant.edu.
